Edible Flowers

This picture turned up on my dash just as I read this article about eating flowers and it made me quite hungry.
Obviously the flowers on this scrummy looking cake aren’t real but the article says about how Ancient Greeks and Romans used violet petals in wines and cooked with roses and now more top chefs are starting to bring back the old ideas of eating flowers with some fantastic looking salads and stuff.
I’ve been hunting around the internet for any decent recipes of how to use them and I think I’m gonna get some flowers delivered to me and surprise my friends with a weird but hopefully wonderful dinner party!
