The Vault
The Vault is the Hard Rock Cafe Rock Memorabilia Museum in London and is home to some of the most awesome pieces of rock and roll memorabilia you can look at and what’s more it is free to go and look at!
The building used to be owned by Coutts & Co specialists in investment management, so it is literally an old vault which adds to a very cool atmosphere, the room is very small and you get accompanied by staff at all time which makes it really feel like you are seeing something rare and exciting.
You can take photos of the exhibits and for a small fee you can even pose with some of the guitars!
Some of the things you will see include:
- Various bits of Beatles memorabilia, including John Lennon’s glasses and a piano.
- The USA Map shaped guitar of Bob Dylan
- Jimi Hendrix’ Isle of White Festival guitar (which is insured for £4 million!)
- Jeff Beck’s guitar
- Slash’s guitar and outfit from the November Rain video
- Kurt Kobain’s guitar
