This photo has got me rather excited. I believe it’s at the ‘Ring at some point in the 70’s. I know it has been said many times that the sport was unbelievably dangerous back then, but the competitors wouldn’t have done it if they didn’t get a thrill flinging their cars, vans and bikes around tracks like the Nurburgring.
Motorsport just isn’t the same as it used to be. I saw the top gear yesterday where they are talking about the old Jags and how Duncan Hamilton raced and won the Le Mans drunk. How true that actually is I don’t know but it is a great story.
